Conversation is Dead

"Markets are Conversations".
"Knowledge is a Conversation".
"Journalism is a Conversation".
"Blogging is a Conversation"

Let's look at the primary dictionary definition of conversation:
The spoken exchange of thoughts, opinions, and feelings; talk.

The reason that marketing oriented metaphorists like to use the word conversation is because it implies an intimate mode of communication. The goal is to elicit a positive emotional response and thereby increase the probability of acceptance of the delivered message.

So now that the word conversation has morphed into meaning any communication with a warm fuzzy twist, can someone please coin a new word that describes a one on one speech based communication between two people?
